Appropriate measures to promote quality education in affiliated colleges. OBJECTIVES: To develop innovative and professional instructional programmes to cater the needs of students of the State of Chhattisgarh. To create an ambience for quality teaching-learning and skill development and its up gradation . To support students in developing competency in their respective fields of study to participate in emerging global economic opportunities. To identify the educational, social cultural & industrial needs in the State and plan to create relevant programmes.


About Late Mr.Niranjan Kesharwani

Mr. Niranjan Prasad Kesharwani was born on 13th June 1930 in Mungeli, a Tehsil place of district Bilaspur (C.G.). His father late Ambika Prasad Kesharwani was a former MLA. Late Niranjan Prasad Kesharwani received his early collegiate education from S.B.R. college of Bilaspur and thereafter completed his studies at the Benaras Hindu University. He started his practice of law under the well-known lawyer of the period late Pt. Ramgopal Tiwari, himself a legistator of repute. Late Kesharwaniji started his political career, when he was elected chairman of Mungeli Municipality in 1969. Later in 1974 he was elected as MLA to Jarahagaon, Patharia constituency. In 1977 General Election he was elected as member of Parliament for Bilaspur constituency. As a mark of respect for his contribution to the public life this institution has been named after him. .


About Govt. Niranjan Keshrawani College, Kota

The Govt. Niranjan Keshrawani College, Kota was established on the 3rd September 1984 as a result of the vision and efforts of Late Pt. Rajendra Prasad Shukla, the first speaker of the Chhattisgarh State Assembly, who was himself a man of letters and a poet of repute. Kota is a Tehsil place under Bilaspur district and is 32 Km. away and We are connected by Railway and road.The College is recognized under UGC Act under – 12B, 2f .The two storied College building is situated by the side of Kotesagar pond – a locally famous site along which a religious fair is held every year during Maghi Purnima. The college has 15 Acres of land under its possession and is equipped with 03 sports fields volleyball, Basketball, Cricket and Kabaddi. .
